Scottish Heritage Sunday is one of my favorite days of the year. Our church comes together and dresses up in kilts and tartans, eats haggis and shortbread, and celebrates our Scottish roots. We even have a bagpiper, which is my favorite part. I would love to have bagpipes at my wedding. The top picture is a picture of my parents and I all wearing the Smith tartan. My dad absolutely loves his kilt, and it is a joy to watch him and all the other men in our church who also wear kilts wear smiles on their faces as they fellowship with each other. It’s a nice reminder to remember where you come from.
